Mötley Crüe is marking the 45th anniversary of its debut album with a deluxe limited-edition box set available starting Oct. 30. The collection focuses on the earliest history of the 1981 record, Too Fast for Love. It includes multiple versions of the album, previously unreleased live audio, and physical memorabilia for collectors.

The set distinguishes between two primary releases of the debut. It contains the original 1981 pressing from Leathür Records and the 1982 Elektra Records edition. The Leathür version features a different mix and track listing compared to the later Elektra release. Only about 900 copies of the original Leathür LP were pressed in November 1981. Elektra released a remixed and remastered version with a revised track listing in August 1982 after the band gained reputation on the Los Angeles club circuit.

Audio content in the box set includes two LPs of previously unreleased live performances from Perkins Palace in 1982. The collection also features a five-track vinyl of demos recorded during the band’s first studio sessions in March 1981. A previously unreleased March 1981 demo of the song Nobody Knows What It’s Like To Be Lonely was released as a preview of the collection. The set includes a CD containing the Leathür Records version of the album.

Physical items in the package include a replica of the band’s original demo cassette. It also contains a 7-inch single featuring the songs Stick To Your Guns and Toast Of The Town. A 100-page hardcover photo book is included with the set. The book features rare and previously unpublished images by photographers Don Adkin and Kevin Estrada. It also contains reproductions of an early press kit, lyric book, poster, and bumper sticker.

This release is part of the band’s 45th anniversary celebrations. Earlier this year, Mötley Crüe issued Crucial Crüe 1981-1989, a collection spanning its first five studio albums. The group is currently on a 33-date North American tour called The Return of the Carnival of Sins. The tour commemorates the 20th anniversary of its 2006 tour.
